The seller’s silicone baking mats developed surface stickiness and odor after 200°C oven use. Lab analysis showed cyclosiloxane (D4/D5) migration exceeding EU limits, triggering a RAPEX alert risk and forced delisting across Amazon EU marketplaces. They needed a compliant replacement supplier immediately.
Our Solution
We supplied a high-temperature post-cured food-grade compound compliant with EU 1935/2004 and German BfR XXI recommendations, with D4/D5 content controlled at source. Migration testing at 200°C confirmed compliance with a wide safety margin, and we reissued full Declarations of Compliance for all 5 SKUs.
Results
- ✅ D4/D5 migration brought within EU limits with wide margin
- ✅ RAPEX risk eliminated; listings restored on Amazon EU
- ✅ Full DoC package issued for all SKUs
